REVIEW
We originally heard about The Pecan Porch while looking into their adjacent chapel, The Hidden Porch, which was nearly done with construction at the time. Hungry, we decided to check out the restaurant as well.
This is no fine dining restaurant. It is, however, a secluded two-family run gem in a quiet, beautiful atmosphere. The food is more along the lines of something your mom has been making and tweaking for years.
Made with fresh ingredients and simply prepared, The Pecan Porch provides its own charm to some classic dishes. And then gives you a cookie to go along with it. While it’s likely the dishes are comprised of premade ingredients (Tostitos Rounds, for example), there is something to be said for the simplicity of a homemade dish under the shade of trees in a secluded area outside of the bustling city.
If you’re in the area, I recommend you try out The Pecan Porch. While you’re there, make sure to take a short stroll through the trees to visit The Hidden Porch as well.
